I have been wanting to get into senior portraits for the last few months. I think they are so important on so many different levels. It is such achievement for the entire family when one is getting ready to graduate from high school. This achievement is made not only because the student worked but because of the support from the family.

To be totally honest this wasn’t a complete senior portrait session. The session was designed for this talented student who attends Holly Springs High School and is applying to college and needs  head shots for his drama school application.

 

I first met this young man when I was speaking and presenting to Holly Springs high school photography club. After speaking he was in contact with me to schedule a session within hours. I knew he was he eager to get it going. And it was my pleasure to help.

Shortly after meeting this young man I understood that he was eager to get this done because his interview is just a couple of weeks away. We met at a location that gave him more of the urban feel and give us a lot of different options for his head shots. It was pretty cold out that afternoon, and he didn’t complain once. In fact you can see in the photo above he even more T-shirt for a few of the shots. So much better than what I could’ve done.

I am so excited for his interview and to hear how it goes. I know he is nervous, but I know that his genuine personality is going to when the interview board over. With a degree in drama the possibilities are endless for him and his future. I wish him all of the best and can’t wait to see  the man he grows up to be.
