Yet another family mini session is in the books! And I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love everything about this family photography session! From the colors, to the smiles, to the love and even the drool. It surely made the family photography session a lot more bearable considering it was so hot and humid.

 

All too often I think that families tend to forget how important these sessions are. Through the years, more children are added to the family and those children grow and get older… But not the parents of course…. we just keep getting younger, right? 😉

But one of the things that one of the things that also changes is the relationship between the parents and children. As the children grow and change, what they need from their mothers and fathers changes as well. This session was for Layla’s first birthday session. You can see how much she needs her mommy and daddy for everything.. food, helping her walk, teaching her how to be a little lady… But the one thing that doesn’t change… the way she will look up to her mommy for love, guidance and reassurance.

Through all of these stages in life, it is important to document them all. Not just as parents, but for the children. They want to see how they have changed. They want to admire the relationships they have with their parents. They would like to be able to look back and see the love through the years. This helps make them better parents when it is time for them to have children. It is a visual reminder… what could be better than that?

 

Can you imagine how Layla will love this photo of her and her daddy on her wedding day?

Or how much her mommy snuggled and loved on her.

Or how much she will look at those chubby baby legs and think about how cute they were.

 

My point is simple.. get your family photos. They matter.
