I have been working to build a professional photography business here in the Raleigh, NC area for about 4 years now. 2  years I took a leap of faith and made my photography my full time job. I was hoping to find an area that I loved. I knew I was meant for family photography, and I know that one of my purposes is also to capture memories with and of our loved ones. I can honestly say I have fallen in love with cake smash photography…. And this is WHY!!!

 

 

The photos that are sweet like this are the ones that make me smile ear to ear. When I am looking at them, I start to feel for mom and dad when they have to select their favorite 1st birthday photography photos they want to see in their homes, cherished forever.

This little girl was so laid back and sweet…. so sweet that she wasn’t really a fan of the cake as much as the texture. We had tons of fun with it. Her talented mommy made the adorable chocolate cupcake with white and pink rose frosting. It looked amazing.

Although I am only sharing a few photos, be on the lookout for some adorable ones that were taken outside too! She has a smile that lights up the room. The beginning of the session was especially wonderful because her grandparents came in town from Jacksonville, FL and her aunt and uncle came in to surprise her. It was a true treat to have an opportunity to take some unforgettable photos with some extended family.
